Can a special protein drink help seniors stay strong and independent?
NCT ID NCT07322653
Summary
This study is testing whether a nutritional drink containing special protein blends can help improve strength, muscle mass, and the ability to perform daily activities in older adults who are malnourished and have age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia). All 75 participants will start on a base drink for 2 weeks, then some will continue with it while others get an enhanced version for 10 more weeks. Researchers will measure changes in hand grip strength, walking speed, body composition, and overall well-being.
