New study aims to cut unnecessary antibiotics in newborns

Summary
This study tests three proven strategies to help doctors use antibiotics more wisely in newborns with possible early-onset sepsis. Researchers will roll out these strategies in Dutch hospitals and compare results before and after implementation. Up to 55,000 newborns born at 34 weeks or later will be included. The goal is to reduce unnecessary antibiotic exposure while keeping babies safe.
