Smart knee aims to catch stumbles before they become falls
NCT ID NCT07266454
Summary
This study is testing a new 'stumble recovery' feature for prosthetic knees. It aims to help people with leg amputations regain their balance if they trip, potentially preventing falls. Researchers are enrolling 50 regular prosthetic users to see if the feature improves safety, confidence, and stability during walking tests in labs and real-world settings.
