Can your mind improve your robotic arm? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06541379
Summary
This study aims to understand how well people who use robotic prosthetic arms can imagine moving their missing limb, and if this mental skill affects how well they can use their prosthesis. Researchers will compare 30 people with below-elbow amputations who use a myoelectric (muscle-signal controlled) arm to a group of healthy individuals. They will use questionnaires and performance tests to measure imagination ability, arm function, and body awareness.
