Prostate cancer drug combo trial halted early
NCT ID NCT04934722
Summary
This Phase 3 trial tested whether adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab to standard hormone therapy (enzalutamide plus ADT) would help men with metastatic prostate cancer that still responds to hormones. The study enrolled 186 Chinese participants and aimed to see if the combination could delay cancer progression and help patients live longer. The trial was stopped early because an initial analysis showed it was unlikely to meet its main goals.
