New drug combo tested for Tough-to-Treat prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT05534646

Summary

This study is testing whether adding an experimental drug called carotuximab to an existing prostate cancer drug (apalutamide) can better control advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to standard hormone treatments. The trial will involve about 100 men whose cancer has progressed despite previous therapy. Researchers will compare how long the cancer remains controlled with the two-drug combination versus the single drug alone.
