New procedure aims to shield men from Radiation's harsh side effects

NCT ID NCT07251829

Summary

This study is testing if a procedure called prostate artery embolization (PAE) can reduce urinary side effects for men receiving radiation therapy for prostate cancer. Researchers want to see if performing PAE before radiation helps protect urinary function, especially for men with larger prostates or existing symptoms. Participants will receive the PAE procedure and then complete standard radiation, with their symptoms tracked through questionnaires and tests.
