Tiny implant could spare men from harsh hormone therapy

NCT ID NCT04943536

Summary

This study is testing a new type of implant that slowly releases a cancer-fighting drug directly into the prostate. The goal is to see if this local treatment can replace the standard body-wide hormone therapy, which often causes difficult side effects. The study will check if the implant is safe and well-tolerated when used alongside radiation therapy in men with localized prostate cancer.
