Neck awareness study: does your head know where it is?

NCT ID NCT06559397

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This completed study looked at how well healthy young adults (ages 18-25) sense the position of their head and neck. Researchers measured neck position accuracy and then compared body awareness and pain sensitivity between those with good and poor neck sense. The goal was to understand the link between neck proprioception and how we perceive our body and pain, without testing any treatment.
