First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares two treatments for plantar fasciitis, a common cause of heel pain. Researchers will give 60 adults either dextrose prolotherapy (sugar-water injections) or extracorporeal shock wave therapy (sound waves) to see which better reduces pain and improves foot function over 12 weeks. The goal is to ease symptoms, not cure the condition.
