Prescribing produce to prevent pregnancy diabetes

Summary

This study tests whether giving healthy food to pregnant women at high risk for gestational diabetes can prevent the condition. Researchers will enroll 400 women receiving care at Harris Health clinics who are early in pregnancy and have risk factors like high BMI. Participants will receive a "Food is Medicine" intervention, and the study will track how many develop diabetes, as well as other pregnancy and infant health outcomes.
