New antibody drug aims to rescue hearts in shock
NCT ID NCT06832722
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests a new drug called procizumab in people with cardiogenic shock, a condition where the heart suddenly can't pump enough blood to vital organs, often leading to death. The drug is designed to block a harmful protein (cDPP3) that rises during shock. About 130 adults with high cDPP3 levels will receive either procizumab or a placebo to check safety and find the best dose.
