Gut bacteria pill tested to boost cancer drugs and save bladders
NCT ID NCT07474064
Summary
This study is testing if taking an oral probiotic pill can improve the effectiveness of a combination cancer drug treatment for patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer who cannot receive standard chemotherapy. The goal is to help patients keep their bladder by controlling the cancer without needing surgery to remove it. Researchers will compare the standard two-drug combination to the same drugs plus the probiotic to see if adding the probiotic leads to better outcomes.
