Scientists test 'Gut Guardian' pills for adventurous travelers
NCT ID NCT07182500
Summary
This study is testing whether taking a daily probiotic supplement can help prevent gut problems and support overall well-being in healthy adults traveling the historic Silk Road. Researchers will compare the probiotic against a placebo pill in 75 travelers to see if it helps maintain a healthy gut balance, reduces symptoms like traveler's diarrhea, and improves sleep and mood during the journey.
