Summary
This study aims to see if giving probiotics (beneficial bacteria) to premature babies can prevent a dangerous gut condition called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). It will involve 196 preterm infants born before 35 weeks. Researchers will compare how many babies develop NEC when given probiotics versus a placebo.
