Gut bacteria boost tested to fight MS fatigue
NCT ID NCT07346924
Summary
This study tested whether taking probiotic supplements alongside standard MS treatment could help reduce fatigue, improve mood and quality of life, and lower inflammation in people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. Sixty participants were randomly assigned to receive either probiotics plus their usual care or standard care alone. Researchers measured changes in fatigue levels, disability, depression, and inflammatory markers to see if gut health improvements could provide additional benefits.
