Gut health for fewer colds? probiotic trial aims to help sick kids

NCT ID NCT07297966

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily probiotic supplement can help children under 6 years old who get frequent colds and respiratory infections. For 8 weeks, 120 children will take either the probiotic or a placebo (a dummy pill). Researchers will track how often the children get sick, how long symptoms last, and their quality of life, while also checking for changes in their gut bacteria.
