Friendly bacteria tested to stop Kids' stomach bugs faster

NCT ID NCT07342088

Summary

This study tested whether adding a specific mix of two probiotic bacteria to standard care could help children aged 1-6 years recover faster from sudden, infectious diarrhea. Researchers compared children who received the probiotics for 5 days to those who received standard care alone. The main goal was to see if the probiotics shortened the duration of diarrhea and helped more children be diarrhea-free within 72 hours.
