First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether a daily probiotic supplement (Bifidobacterium longum) can reduce eczema symptoms in infants and toddlers aged 3 months to 3 years. 100 children with atopic dermatitis were split into two groups: one received the probiotic, the other a placebo. Over 3 months, researchers tracked changes in eczema severity and gut bacteria to see if the probiotic helped calm inflammation.
