First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking probiotics every day for 8 weeks can improve thinking, memory, and digestion in generally healthy adults. 85 participants were randomly assigned to receive either a probiotic supplement or a placebo (dummy pill). Neither the participants nor the researchers knew who got which treatment. The goal was to see if probiotics offer any real benefits for everyday cognitive lapses and gut comfort.
