First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking a daily probiotic supplement, with or without added fiber, can lower uric acid levels in 99 adults with hyperuricemia (with or without gout). Participants will take the supplement for 6 weeks and provide blood, urine, stool, and breath samples. The goal is to see who benefits most based on their gut bacteria, diet, and genetics, paving the way for personalized treatment.
