Summary
This study tested whether applying a cream with live Lactobacillus crispatus bacteria to the forearm could improve skin barrier function in people with obesity. 98 adults with a BMI of 25 or higher applied the cream daily for 4 weeks. Researchers measured skin water loss, hydration, and inflammation to see if the probiotic helped repair the skin.
