NCT ID NCT06830122

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether taking a probiotic called Lactobacillus crispatus LCr86 by mouth could improve vaginal health in women with an intermediate vaginal microbiome. 80 women participated, taking either the probiotic or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers measured changes in vaginal bacteria scores, pH, and inflammation markers to see if the probiotic helped restore a healthy balance.
