Summary
This study tested whether taking a daily probiotic pill (Bifidobacterium longum) for one month could improve skin barrier function in adults with obesity. Researchers compared the probiotic to a placebo in 140 participants to see if it reduced skin water loss and dryness. The goal was to see if improving gut health could help control skin problems linked to obesity.
