Daily probiotic pill aims to shield kids from colds and stomach bugs
NCT ID NCT07341750
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily probiotic supplement can help prevent common illnesses like colds and stomach bugs in healthy children. About 100 kids aged 6-12 will take either the probiotic or a placebo pill for 84 days during the cold and flu season. Researchers will track how often the children get sick, how long symptoms last, and measure immune system markers to see if the probiotic makes a difference.
