Probiotic pill may keep school kids healthier this cold season

Summary

This study tests whether a daily probiotic called Bacillus coagulans SNZ 1969 can reduce the number, length, and severity of colds and stomach bugs in healthy children aged 6–12 who attend school. Over 84 days during cold and flu season, 100 kids will take either the probiotic or a placebo. Researchers will track symptoms and measure immune markers in blood, saliva, and stool.
