Summary
This study tested a probiotic supplement containing Bacillus coagulans in 50 adults with mild to moderate IBS-D (irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea). Participants took either the probiotic or a placebo twice daily for 8 weeks. The goal was to see if the probiotic could reduce abdominal pain, improve stool consistency, and ease overall IBS symptoms.
