Gut bacteria vs. gout risk: can a daily pill tame high uric acid?
NCT ID NCT07141888
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily probiotic supplement, taken with or without a dietary fiber, can lower high levels of uric acid in the blood. It will involve 99 adults with hyperuricemia (high uric acid) who will take the supplements for six weeks. The researchers also aim to understand which individuals are most likely to benefit from this approach based on their gut health and other personal factors.
