Could a scalp probiotic be the next hair loss treatment?
NCT ID NCT07370519
Summary
This study is testing whether applying a specific probiotic (Lactobacillus reuteri) to the scalp can safely help regrow hair in people with common genetic hair loss. About 388 participants will be randomly assigned to use either the probiotic, a placebo, or a standard treatment for one year. The main goal is to see if the probiotic increases the number of hairs per square centimeter compared to the other options.
