First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether taking a specific probiotic (Limosilactobacillus reuteri) can improve gum health in adults with braces who also have gingivitis (gum inflammation). 100 participants were randomly assigned to receive the probiotic or no treatment. The main goal was to measure changes in gum bleeding and plaque. Results may show if probiotics can support gum health during orthodontic treatment.
