Gut bacteria tested as natural fix for sluggish digestion

NCT ID NCT06686420

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily probiotic supplement containing a specific strain of Bifidobacteria can help relieve constipation in adults. For 8 weeks, 80 participants will take either the probiotic or a placebo pill and track their bowel movements in a diary. Researchers want to see if the supplement increases how often people go to the bathroom, improves stool consistency, and boosts quality of life.
