Summary
This study is testing whether a probiotic supplement can improve gut health, immune function, nutrition, and behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Researchers in Ecuador are giving 66 children the probiotic for four months, then having them go without it for four months, to compare the effects. The goal is to see if supporting gut health leads to measurable improvements in digestion and behavior.
