Summary
This study is testing if adding a specific probiotic supplement to standard antipsychotic medication can help control unwanted metabolic side effects like weight gain, high cholesterol, and blood sugar problems. It involves 36 adults recently diagnosed with a psychotic disorder. Participants will take either the probiotic or a placebo pill in addition to their regular medication to see if it improves their metabolic health.
