Scientists test 'Good Bacteria' cream to fight acne at its source
NCT ID NCT07366229
Summary
This study is testing a new cream containing specially coated 'good bacteria' (Lactobacillus reuteri) to see if it can help control acne by rebalancing the skin's natural microbes. About 196 adults with mild to moderate acne will use one of four creams for 2 weeks and be monitored for 8 weeks to see if it safely reduces pimples. The goal is to see if this new approach works as well as or better than existing treatments.
