New probiotic treatment tested for common vaginal infection
NCT ID NCT07418957
Summary
This large, completed study tested whether vaginal capsules containing two types of helpful bacteria (probiotics) could treat bacterial vaginosis better than a placebo. It involved 402 adult women with the condition. Researchers compared how many women were cured in each group about 3-4 weeks after treatment to see if the probiotic was more effective.
