Can a Gut-Friendly probiotic boost antibiotic power against SIBO?

NCT ID NCT07426705

Summary

This study is testing if adding a specific probiotic supplement to a standard antibiotic (rifaximin) helps people with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) more than the antibiotic alone. It will involve 100 adults with SIBO and IBS symptoms. Participants will be randomly assigned to get either the antibiotic plus the probiotic or the antibiotic plus a placebo pill to see which group has better and longer-lasting results.
