New laser procedure aims to halt vision threat in weak corneas

NCT ID NCT07277348

Summary

This study is testing a two-part procedure for people with thin, suspicious corneas that are at risk of bulging and causing vision loss. The procedure combines a vision-correcting laser (PRK) with a light treatment (cross-linking) designed to strengthen the cornea. Researchers will track 60 patients to see if this combined approach safely improves vision and stabilizes the cornea in the short term.
