Tooth socket study pulled before it even started
NCT ID NCT02300246
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study was designed to test whether a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) membrane, made from a patient's own blood, could improve healing of the gum and bone after a tooth extraction. It planned to compare 15 sockets covered with the membrane to 15 left to heal naturally. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
