Jaw fracture patients may regain sensation with simple blood treatment
NCT ID NCT07319650
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether applying platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) — a concentrate from the patient's own blood — during jaw surgery can improve recovery of sensation in the chin and lower lip. It includes 40 people aged 15-40 who have numbness after a broken jaw. The goal is to see if PRF helps nerves heal better than surgery alone.
