First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 19, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a third anti-nausea drug (droperidol) to the standard two-drug combination works better at preventing vomiting after surgery in children. Researchers enrolled 322 children aged 3-18 who were at high risk for post-surgery vomiting. They compared the three-drug combination against the standard two-drug treatment in a blinded study to see which was more effective and safe.
