Summary

This study is testing a new device designed to prevent surgical sponges from being accidentally left inside patients' bodies during operations or childbirth. It will involve 30 adult patients having surgery at a UK hospital. Researchers want to see if the device is easy for medical staff to use and if it helps them accurately count all items.
