Summary

This study tests a new device designed to help surgical teams keep accurate counts of tools and materials used during surgery, reducing the risk of items being accidentally left inside patients. About 30 adults having planned surgery at an NHS hospital will take part. Researchers will ask staff about their confidence using the device and how well it fits into their usual routine.
