New device aims to end 'Never Event' of swabs left in new mothers

Summary
This study tests a new device designed to prevent surgical swabs from being accidentally left inside a woman's body during childbirth. About 70 women giving birth will take part to see if the device helps staff keep track of all swabs used. The goal is to stop these rare but serious errors from happening.
