Two ways to stop early births: which works better?

NCT ID NCT07307092

Summary

This study compared two ways of giving progesterone hormone to prevent early labor in pregnant women who had a cervical stitch procedure. Researchers tested whether weekly injections or daily rectal suppositories worked better at helping women carry their babies closer to full term. The trial involved 820 women with high-risk pregnancies to see which method resulted in fewer preterm births and healthier babies.
