NCT ID NCT07485140

First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a new screening program during the first trimester can better identify pregnant women at high risk for preeclampsia—a condition causing high blood pressure that can harm both mother and baby. Up to 80,000 women in Denmark will take part. Those found to be at high risk will be offered daily low-dose aspirin to help prevent the condition. Researchers will compare rates of preterm preeclampsia before and after the program is introduced.
