Can a simple 10-Day shot stop deadly postpartum clots?
NCT ID NCT07140211
Summary
This large study is testing whether a short, low-dose injection of a blood thinner (heparin) for 7-10 days after delivery can safely prevent dangerous blood clots in women at higher risk. It will compare the injection to no treatment in 9,200 postpartum women, tracking them for 90 days to see if it reduces clots without causing significant bleeding or other complications.
