Stroke survivors: new pill could stop epilepsy before it starts

Summary

This study tests whether a medication called edaravone dexborneol can prevent epilepsy in people who have had a stroke. About 160 adults at high risk for post-stroke seizures will receive either the drug or a placebo for up to 2 years. The goal is to see if the drug reduces the chance of having a seizure or developing abnormal brain activity.
