New combo cuts pancreatitis risk after ERCP

NCT ID NCT07599605

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether giving a rectal anti-inflammatory drug (indomethacin) along with extra fluids before an ERCP procedure could prevent the pancreas from becoming inflamed afterward. Sixty adults who needed ERCP took part. The goal was to see if this simple combination could lower the chance of post-procedure pancreatitis.
