Head-to-Head showdown: which common drug better prevents painful procedure complication?

Summary
This study aims to find out if one common anti-inflammatory drug (indomethacin) is better than another (diclofenac) at preventing pancreatitis—a painful and serious swelling of the pancreas—that can occur after a common gallbladder/bile duct procedure called ERCP. Researchers will enroll over 4,000 adult patients and randomly give them one of the two drugs rectally right before their procedure. The goal is to see which medication leads to fewer cases of this complication, helping to improve patient safety and recovery.
