Study aims to find best way to shield kids from painful procedure complication

NCT ID NCT05664074

Summary

This study aimed to find the best way to prevent a painful pancreas inflammation (pancreatitis) that can happen after a common medical procedure called ERCP in children. Researchers compared two widely used anti-inflammatory drugs, one given as a rectal suppository (indomethacin) and one given through an IV (ketorolac). The goal was to see which medication was more effective at reducing the rate of this complication in 192 young patients.
